Start playing without an account

Children do not need to sign up. A guest player gets a nickname, an animal picture and a random device identifier. Player names, games, levels, favourites, stickers and recent reading progress are kept in this browser. Clearing browser data can remove them. If storage is blocked, a copy may last only for this visit.

A grown-up chooses what to save

A grown-up account stores your email and a securely hashed password, plus the players you add. Finished game and activity summaries for account-linked players are saved to your account. When you choose Save our progress, a private backup also keeps levels, favourites, stickers, recent game observations and reading progress. Subsequent changes sync while you are signed in and connected. Recent histories are bounded; older detailed observations may be removed as new ones are saved.

You choose which account player receives a guest's progress. A matching nickname never automatically links players. Device sound and support settings stay on that device. Account progress restored onto a shared device remains in that browser after signing out; clear browser data if you want to remove that device copy.

The shared bookshelf

Community participation is optional and separate from private saving. A grown-up with a verified email can approve a completed story contribution. We store an account-linked contribution record so it can be counted once and removed later. The public page shows only the week's total and shared goal. It does not show names, individual scores, answers or player profiles. There is no chat or public child ranking.

Learning observations

Little Days keeps chosen goals, picture responses, support used and optional grown-up observations with the selected device player. These are included in a private account save if you choose account saving. Voice participation is recorded as a turn processed, never as a pronunciation or understanding grade.

Narrator audio

We use OpenAI to generate spoken narration from text. Narration text is sent to that service and can include a player's nickname when a game uses it. Generated audio is cached and played by Wonderpop. Narration alone does not use a microphone or camera. When narration is unavailable, instructions remain on screen.

Optional spoken replies

Child voice is available only after the operator enables the feature for an OpenAI project with approved Zero Data Retention, and a grown-up enables voice for a play session. No account is needed to use the other activities. Tap to talk starts a short microphone recording; Finished speaking sends it to Wonderpop and OpenAI for transcription, safety checks, a reply and generated speech. A reply is generated by AI and can be mistaken. Camera access is never requested.

Wonderpop handles accepted recordings in memory and does not save audio or transcripts in its database, analytics, progress records or application logs. A short, signed conversation context is held in the page’s memory and expires after five minutes. Leaving or stopping clears the browser’s conversation state; a request already sent may finish processing. We keep session approval and aggregate usage limits to operate the feature. Three replies end a conversation. Speech is never used for a public ranking.

Stop turns the microphone off. Grown-ups can revoke voice access in Voice settings. For an unexpected reply, use the stop control and bring a grown-up in. Do not include names, addresses, school details or other private information in voice play.

Cookies and storage

Session and security cookies keep grown-ups signed in and protect forms. Browser storage keeps device progress and cached assets. Our hosting provider processes requests needed to deliver the site. We do not run advertising or advertising trackers, and we do not sell children's information.

Removing your information

Remove an account player from the progress page to delete their profile, private backup and recorded games and activities. Device copies are separate: clear that browser’s data to remove its device copy. In Save our progress, you can remove your family's community contributions without deleting private progress. Deleting a player does not remove family-level contribution records; use that separate control to remove them. To request deletion of a grown-up account and its associated records, contact us below.
